1. Acceptance and eligibility

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) form an agreement between you and the operator of Code2PDF (“Code2PDF,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) and govern your access to code2pdf.net and its code-to-PDF tools (the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

If you are not old enough to enter into a binding agreement where you live, you may use the Service only with permission and supervision from a parent or legal guardian. If you use the Service for a school, company, or other organization, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these Terms for that organization.

2. What the Service does

Code2PDF is a formatting tool. It turns plain-text source code into a paginated PDF with options such as syntax highlighting, line numbers, titles, margins, themes, and page sizes. Conversion is designed to occur locally in your browser.

Code2PDF does not compile, execute, lint, test, debug, grade, or verify your code. A successful PDF download means that a document was generated; it does not mean the program is correct, secure, original, complete, or suitable for submission.

The Service is currently provided without charge or an account. We may add, remove, limit, suspend, or discontinue features or the Service at any time. We do not promise that every browser, language construct, file, font, or device will render identically.

3. Your content

You retain any rights you have in source code, file names, titles, and other material you use with the Service (“Your Content”). Because conversion occurs locally, you do not grant Code2PDF a license to host or publish Your Content merely by using the converter.

You are responsible for Your Content and confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed to use, format, download, and share it. Do not use confidential code on a device or browser you do not trust. Remove credentials, tokens, personal information, and secrets before creating or sharing a PDF.

4. Acceptable use

You may use the Service only lawfully and in a way that does not harm the Service or others. You must not:

  • use the Service to infringe intellectual-property, privacy, confidentiality, or other rights;
  • submit or distribute unlawful, deceptive, abusive, or malicious material;
  • attempt to disrupt, overload, scan, probe, bypass, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure;
  • introduce malware or use automated traffic that materially interferes with normal operation;
  • misrepresent a generated PDF as proof that code was executed, tested, approved, or authored by a particular person; or
  • remove notices or use Code2PDF branding in a way that falsely suggests sponsorship or endorsement.

We may restrict access when reasonably necessary to protect the Service, enforce these Terms, or comply with law.

5. Coursework, academic rules, and output accuracy

You are responsible for following your instructor’s, institution’s, employer’s, and platform’s rules. Code2PDF does not authorize plagiarism, unauthorized collaboration, misrepresentation of authorship, or submission of material you are not permitted to use.

Review the complete PDF before submitting or sharing it. Check syntax colors, line wrapping, page breaks, titles, line numbers, missing characters, and whether confidential values appear. Keep an independent copy of the original source file. Code2PDF is not a backup or source-control service.

6. Code2PDF materials and feedback

The Service, interface, design, documentation, text, branding, and software provided by Code2PDF are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by applicable laws. Except for the limited right to use the Service under these Terms, no rights are transferred to you.

Third-party and open-source components remain subject to their own licenses. If you send suggestions or feedback, you allow us to use them without restriction or payment, but you are not required to provide feedback.

7. Third-party services and links

The Service relies on browser technologies and may load software resources through third-party infrastructure. Language guides may link to standards bodies, documentation, and other external websites. We do not control third-party services and are not responsible for their content, availability, security, or privacy practices. Your use of them is governed by their own terms.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, and error-free operation. We do not guarantee that a generated PDF will meet an institution’s, employer’s, accessibility, archival, printing, or legal requirements.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Code2PDF and its operator, contributors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost data, code, grades, opportunities, profits, or goodwill arising from or related to the Service.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for all claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us to use the Service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or USD $20. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions or liability limitations, so some of these provisions may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

9. Changes, termination, and disputes

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the Service, our practices, or legal requirements. Updated Terms apply from the effective date shown above. If a change materially affects your rights, we will provide additional notice where required. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.

You may stop using the Service at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive will remain effective, including ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute provisions.

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the place where the Code2PDF operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Courts with jurisdiction there will hear disputes, except that mandatory consumer protections and your right to bring a claim in another competent court remain unaffected. Before filing a claim, please contact us and allow a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue informally.

If any provision is unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions will continue in effect. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement concerning the Service.
